Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Takes a Loss

Konos Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders 84-43. The Condor were down 77-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Konos Academy had strong showings from Jackson McFadden, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds, and Daniel Kirkland, who posted ten points and six boards.

New Creation Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jordan Estes, who shot 58% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keldon Flournoy, who put up eight points and five steals.

Konos Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Konos Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Mary's Academy at 8:00 p.m. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-36 loss against Creekside Christian Academy on the 10th.
