Alto is a perfect 6-0 against Wells since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will welcome the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Alto is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
If Alto beats Wells with 15 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Mt. Enterprise on Friday. Considering the Yellowjackets have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lacey Stephenson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ashley Black was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Alto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wells). They put the hurt on Apple Springs with a sharp 18-6 victory last Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Alto's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Wells, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.
Everything went Alto's way against Wells in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Alto made off with a 17-1 win. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
