Baseball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Takes a Loss

Mountain Island Charter was the 5-3 winner over Langtree Charter Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Mountain Island Charter fell just short of Langtree Charter Academy by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Hayes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Belcher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mountain Island Charter's record now sits at 3-8. As for Langtree Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

While Mountain Island Charter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
