Vista moved up to 219 from 319 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Avocado - West. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Steele Canyon 8-6.
Carlsbad took down Santa Fe Christian 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Christian Chapman threw for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 16 yards in the win.
The Lancers' dynamic duo of Chapman and Jake Dornick proved tough for the Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dylan Rutledge helped Carlsbad's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 63 yards.

On the heels of Chapman and Isaiah Hilliard, the Lancers have had great success on offense. Chapman leads the league in passing with 534 yards, while Hilliard has rushed for 131 yards this season. Dan Williams' team's Nate Johnson leads the league in receiving yards with 194 on 6 catches.
The Panthers made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,550 from 4,170. The improvement was the result of 8-6 victory over the Cougars last week.
