Green Canyon is 9-1 against Bear River since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Green Canyon Wolves will take on the Bear River Bears at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Brown, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 14 points gave Brown a new career-high. Mya Hinds was another key player, putting up 15 points and five assists.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bear River). They blew past Logan 63-25 on Tuesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-6.
Bear River had a senior duo take command as Emily Robison went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals and Aubree Fry posted eight points and seven steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Robison. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Wilkinson, who earned eight points and six rebounds.
Bear River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory snapped Bear River's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-13 record. As for Green Canyon, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Green Canyon has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bear River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Green Canyon against Bear River when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-33 victory. In that game, Green Canyon amassed a halftime lead of 36-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
