Game recap

Gunn (Palo Alto, Calif.)'s advantage, which at one point stood at 20 points, dwindled to eight before the final whistle blew on a 20-12 victory over Lynbrook (San Jose, Calif.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by Forest Larson in the second quarter, the Titans led 14-0 at the half.

Gunn expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. GHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown catch by Wade Barry.

The Palo Alto school's standout player in the win was Barry. The senior tight end caught two touchdowns.

The Vikings' Tim Wallis played well. The senior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.

A 54-23 Gunn victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The win was a nice bounce back for Gunn, which lost to Palo Alto last week, 48-0.

Gunn (3-2) goes up against Harker in a El Camino game matchup next week, while Lynbrook (2-3) locks horns with Fremont also in a El Camino game.
