Arroyo Grande is 8-2 against Templeton since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Arroyo Grande lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Atascadero, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. Arroyo Grande was the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Atascadero on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lucas Durham looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tane Kurth, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Linkin Whitney, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Arroyo Grande always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atascadero only posted an OBP of .286.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Templeton). They blew past King City 17-6 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Templeton back to even at 2-2. As for Arroyo Grande, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Arroyo Grande took their victory against Templeton when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 7-1. Will Arroyo Grande repeat their success, or does Templeton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
