Basketball Recap: Chino Cowboys vs. Ontario Jaguars
After flying high against the Montclair Cavaliers last Thursday, the Chino Cowboys came back down to earth. Chino took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. It was the first time this season that Chino let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Chino still got an impressive performance from Shawn Jamison Jr, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Jamison Jr is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Manuel Alba, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Chino's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15. As for Ontario, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chino will take on the Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Baldwin Park is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses. As for Ontario, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Conquistadores at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Don Lugo's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
