Basketball Recap: Needville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bay City last Tuesday, Needville came back down to earth. The Needville Bluejays received a blow on Friday as they fell 59-44 to the Brazosport Exporters. The Bluejays have struggled against the Exporters recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Needville lost, don't look at Bohdan Zeitz. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Jaydon Ortiz was another key player, putting up eight points.

Needville's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Brazosport, their record is now 19-11.

Looking ahead, Needville will take on Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Needville is facing Sweeny at the right time seeing as Sweeny is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Brazosport, they will host Bay City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
