Basketball Game Preview: Wapello Indians vs. Lone Tree Lions

The Wapello Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Lone Tree Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wapello is looking for their season's first victory.

Wapello lost 68-47 to Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Lone Tree was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-52 to Winfield-Mt. Union. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly four points.

Lone Tree's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Wapello, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Wapello came up short against Lone Tree when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 60-55. Can Wapello avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
