Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakewood). They blew past the Buckeye Bucks 61-37 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-31 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Buckeye saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ava Wolf went 9 for 17 on her way to 21 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Wolf a new career-high in points.

Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Buckeye, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Lakewood has already played their next game (against Cleveland Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Buckeye will head out on the road to square off against Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Buckeye is facing Oberlin at the right time seeing as Oberlin is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
