Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin barely beat Cedar Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin blew past Cedar Creek 22-12 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raptors.
Rose Harrelson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin let Mary Snyder and Esther Harrelson run wild. Snyder went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Harrelson scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Harrelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abby Aardema, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek only managed eight hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Crockett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Navarro on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Amelia Ponce made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ponce was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sadie Peyton, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. D'Maya Wynn was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Crockett's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Crockett's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday.
