It's playoff time, and New Hope had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the North Jackson Chiefs 3-1. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ella Baswell made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over nine innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). Baswell was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Haley Garrison was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Stapler, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

New Hope's record is now 19-27-2. As for North Jackson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-20 record this season.

New Hope has already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Plainview on the 28th. North Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
