Basketball Game Preview: Chavez Eagles vs. North Hollywood Huskies

Chavez hasn't had much luck against North Hollywood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chavez Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the North Hollywood Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chavez is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 17th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Monroe, falling 48-25. The Eagles were down 41-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, North Hollywood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 95-42 defeat at the hands of Grant. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 944th, while the Lancers are ranked 464th).

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for North Hollywood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.

Chavez was taken down by North Hollywood 80-30 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Hollywood's Chase Guillory, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
