Softball Game Preview: Denbigh Patriots vs. Woodside Wolverines

For the second straight game, Denbigh will face off against Woodside. The Patriots will challenge the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denbigh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Denbigh took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Woodside 15-5. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Alieyah Bullock was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of London Fate, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Denbigh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Woodside is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Denbigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
