Basketball Recap: Horn Lake Comes Up Short

Horn Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southaven Chargers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-33 back in December of 2024.

Horn Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Southaven, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Horn Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-37 victory against North Panola on the 18th. As for Southaven, they will head out on the road to square off against Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
