Softball Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc fell victim to Arroyo Grande and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Braves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lompoc has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Arroyo Grande, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will face off against St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arroyo Grande, they will host Cabrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
