League recap: Stroud extends winning streak with victory over Christian Heritage

Stroud extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 5 this week by beating Christian Heritage, 34-7. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Tigers.

Haskell made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,291 from 7,391. The improvement was the result of 28-6 victory over Mounds last week.

Colby Graves was the best wideout in the league this week as the Haymakers beat the Golden Eagles. Graves racked up one reception for 49 yards. Chris Wright helped Haskell's passing attack out by catching two balls for 16 yards.

Jake Standlee put up the best numbers through the air as Meeker topped Holdenville. He finished with three completions for 43 yards and one touchdown. Standlee's favorite target this week was Levi Bagwell, who caught one pass for 32 yards.

Jordan Presley was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 114 yards on 21 carries as Haskell defeated Mounds. Britt Williams also contributed to the rushing game with 80 yards on the ground.

5-foot-10 quarterback Standlee of the Bulldogs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 879. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. On the ground, the Haymakers' Alex Wheeland has rushed for 1156 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Graves. The Haskell star has 20 catches for 410 yards.

Meeker's Standlee is a mere 85 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 148 carries Standlee has accumulated 915 yard this year.
