Softball Recap: North Central Comes Up Short

North Central was the 10-0 winner over Cloverdale when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds fell 8-4 to the Clovers on Monday.

North Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Seay, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run. Kennedy Bowling also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

North Central's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Cloverdale, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will take on Shakamak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbirds will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cloverdale, they will face off against Brown County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
