Softball Recap: Midwest Central/Illini Central Raiders vs. Midland Timberwolves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Richwoods, Midwest Central/Illini Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Midland Timberwolves. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won three in a row.
Lexi Wood was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Wood was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
