Game recap: Jordan High School Football Team defeats Copper Hills

WEST JORDAN, Utah - A big 28-point second quarter helped carry the Beetdiggers to a 42-0 victory over Copper Hills (West Jordan, Utah) on Saturday.

Jordan scored on a touchdown pass by Austin Kafentzis to Clay Moss, a defensive touchdown, an Kafentzis touchdown pass to Nathan Mower and a touchdown pass by Kafentzis to Tayler Johnson in the quarter.

The lead that JHS took on a touchdown run by Kafentzis with 9:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

The Sandy school has had a rough season, allowing 38.4 points per game. However, Jordan's defense dug in and limited the Grizzlies below their season average of 5.4 points per game.



Jordan also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 41-10.

Copper Hills (0-6) goes up against West Jordan in a 5A Region 3 game matchup next week, while Jordan (3-3) locks horns with Alta also in a 5A Region 3 game.
