Football Recap: Prairie Comes Up Short

Prairie lost against Stratton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs were dealt a 52-8 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liam Bringelson threw for 72 yards on two of 17 attempts. Derek Dollarschell was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and one score.

Prairie now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Stratton, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie will head out to challenge Kiowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.22 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Stratton, they will head out on the road to take on Walsh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stratton's defense better be ready for this one: Walsh has averaged an impressive 34.2 points per game this season.
