Soccer Game Preview: Jay vs. MacArthur

The Jay Mustangs will challenge the MacArthur Brahmas at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jay will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Jay's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over South San Antonio. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit South San Antonio with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abigayle Rodriguez (3), Larixsa Plascencia (2), Krysna Diaz, and Nyalah Reeves.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, MacArthur's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Southwest by a score of 3-2.

Jay pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
