Softball Game Preview: Westview Warriors vs. West Noble Chargers

Westview has gone 8-2 against West Noble recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out to challenge the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Westview took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Fremont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Janissa Lehman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Karlie Schrock was excellent, going 4-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Maddy Penick also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, West Noble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 21-10 to Garrett.

West Noble's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Westview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Westview came out on top in a nail-biter against West Noble when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
