Baseball Game Preview: Jackson-Milton Bluejays vs. Mathews Mustangs

The Jackson-Milton Bluejays will challenge the Mathews Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Jackson-Milton sidestepped Springfield for a 2-1 win.

Meanwhile, Mathews had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Lions.

Mathews' win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Jackson-Milton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Jackson-Milton might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Mathews in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Bluejays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
