Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Eagle's Landing Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 69-62 to the McDonough Warhawks.

When it comes to explaining why Eagle's Landing Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jayden Bone. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Bone has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Randle, who posted ten points.

Zaiden Greene was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds for McDonough. The dominant performance gave Greene a new career-high in boards. Jaydin Brown was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for McDonough, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-63 loss against Eagle's Landing on the 14th. As for McDonough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-48 defeat against North Oconee on the 14th.
