It was a good run, but Centreville unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakton Cougars. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Centreville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Weber, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Centreville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Oakton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Centreville will square off against Woodson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakton, they will take on James Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
