Volleyball Recap: Vernon Comes Up Short

Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windthorst Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Windthorst, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Vernon will head out on the road to square off against Graham at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Windthorst, they will face off against Shallowater at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
