Basketball Recap: Kopperl Takes a Loss

Kopperl lost against Bynum back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kopperl Eagles took a blow against the Bynum Bulldogs, falling 61-17. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklyn Compean continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bynum, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. The dominant performance also gave Compean a new career-high in assists (four). Gracelyn Collins was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Kopperl's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bynum, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Kopperl will take on Bynum in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Bynum, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-10 win against Cranfills Gap on the 12th.
