Softball Recap: Phil Campbell Takes a Loss

Phil Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Belgreen Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 two weeks ago.

Phil Campbell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Siddalee Rogers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Georgia Motes was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Phil Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Belgreen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Phil Campbell Bobcats challenge Tharptown Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Belgreen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sulligent at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
