Volleyball Recap: Grapevine Falls Short of Argyle in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grapevine can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Argyle Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Cheyenne Gunner paced Grapevine's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gunner got some help from Finley Love and her 23 assists. Love also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Eva Hammer, each putting up two.

Grapevine's defeat dropped their record down to 26-20. As for Argyle, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 37-3.

Grapevine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Argyle, they will square off against Liberty on Saturday.
