The Bexley Lions will head out to take on the Bishop Ready Silver Knights at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bexley proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Whetstone.

Meanwhile, Bishop Ready entered their tilt with Whitehall-Yearling on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 13-5 win. Considering the Silver Knights have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Cheatham made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
