Baseball Recap: Conifer Gets the Win

While Conifer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Littleton Lions on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

Mckade Tracy made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Nick Giefer was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Conifer's record now sits at 6-3-1. As for Littleton, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conifer is set to square off against their familiar foe Pomona at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Littleton will take on rival Standley Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
