Football Recap: Gordon Lee's Rushing Attack Does It Again + How To Watch

Gordon Lee waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 45-7 win over the Coosa Eagles. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-0.

Gordon Lee had a senior duo take command as Landon Norton picked up 84 receiving yards and two scores and Dustin Day threw for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes. Norton also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Gordon Lee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 19 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Gordon Lee's defense made their presence known, laying out Charlie Cannon seven times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as seven different players picked up one apiece. Gordon Lee got some further help from Layne Vaughn: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Gordon Lee's record now sits at 8-1. As for Coosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
