Preview: East Poinsett County Warriors vs. Bearden Bears
The East Poinsett County Warriors will be playing at home against the Bearden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Poinsett County will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Marked Tree scored an imposing 32 points on Thursday, East Poinsett County still came out on top. East Poinsett County managed a 38-32 victory over Marked Tree.
It was another big night for Dennis Gaines, who rushed for 230 yards and four touchdowns. Gaines has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last six times he's played.
Meanwhile, Bearden unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak two weeks ago. They lost to Hazen on the road by a decisive 30-12 margin. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Bearden couldn't push the score so high this time.
East Poinsett County's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Bearden, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
