Basketball Recap: Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Takes a Loss

Wyndmere/Lidgerwood lost against Larimore back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds lost to the Larimore Polar Bears on the road by a 77-60 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (58), the Warbirds still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Jace Collison, who went 13 for 21 on his way to 31 points and six rebounds for Larimore. The match was Collison's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Mason Myers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards.

Wyndmere/Lidgerwood has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Larimore, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood and Oakes will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Larimore, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hatton/Northwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Larimore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
