Volleyball Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the North Wilkes Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 25-16.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for North Wilkes, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alleghany will challenge rival Elkin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Wilkes is set to take on their familiar foe West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
