Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Hendrickson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pflugerville on Friday. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Panthers. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Tabitha Villa spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, Isabella Gonzales and Kara Luongo did most of the damage at the plate: Gonzales scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Luongo scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Hadlee Woodard was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Hendrickson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.
Pflugerville Connally's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Hendrickson, their record is now 12-9-1.
