Softball Recap: Springboro Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Springboro made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Little Miami, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Springboro fell just short of Little Miami by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Springboro has suffered since March 23rd.

Bri Schul and Bella Miller did some serious damage despite the final result: Schul went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Miller went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Coffey, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Springboro's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Little Miami, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springboro will host Northmont at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Little Miami, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Turpin at 5:00 p.m. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.44 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
