Football Preview: Hughson Huskies vs. Escalon Cougars
The Hughson Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Escalon Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hughson is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
If Hughson beats Escalon with 40 points on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Hughson breezed by Sonora at home to the tune of 40-13 on Wednesday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

Escalon can attribute much of their success to Arianna Velasco, who threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns, and Jasmine Barron, who picked up 49 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Hughson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Escalon, their record now sits at 11-9.
Hughson might still be hurting after the 35-15 defeat they got from Escalon when the teams last played on October 2nd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Velasco, who threw for 117 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of her passes, and also rushed for 35 yards.
