Brewer and Saginaw are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Bears will square off against the Rough Riders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brewer is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Brewer came up short against Aledo on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Saginaw came up short against Granbury on Friday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Rough Riders in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

While Saginaw ultimately came up short, they really made Granbury work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 27-25, 22-25, 25-22.

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Saginaw, their loss dropped their record down to 14-18.

Brewer was able to grind out a solid win over Saginaw in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
