Volleyball Recap: Leesville Road Falls to Green Hope in First Game of Season

Leesville Road had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Green Hope Falcons on Tuesday. The Pride haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

While Leesville Road was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Leesville Road had strong showings from Isabelle Barna, who had 13 digs and four assists, and Logan Robinson, who had nine assists and seven digs. Barna has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 20 times she's played.

Green Hope's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Leesville Road wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Jordan on the 13th. As for Green Hope, they will square off against Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
