Softball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lewiston's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oxford Hills Vikings on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Lewiston now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Oxford Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lewiston will face off against rival Camden Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oxford Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.1, the Rams 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
