Basketball Recap: Jenkins Falls Despite Big Games from Dominique Johnson and Jordon Massey

After flying high against Savannah Country Day last Saturday, Jenkins came back down to earth. The Jenkins Warriors lost to the Beach Bulldogs on the road by a 55-41 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Jenkins had strong showings from Jordon Massey, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds, and Dominique Johnson, who put up five points along with eight boards and three steals. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chandler Reid, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Newton, who scored six points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Beach, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Jenkins has already played their next contest, a 70-39 defeat against Calvary Day on the 17th. As for Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-41 loss against Brunswick on the 17th.
