Volleyball Recap: Hammondsport Comes Up Short

If Hammondsport was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Campbell-Savona two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakers lost 3-0 to the Houghton Academy Panthers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Hammondsport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Houghton Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hammondsport will face off against Arkport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Houghton Academy, they will challenge Hinsdale Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
