Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Creek Bears vs. Tohopekaliga Tigers

The Cypress Creek Bears will square off against the Tohopekaliga Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tohopekaliga took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cypress Creek, who comes in off a win.

Cypress Creek's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Freedom.

Cypress Creek got a great performance from Miguel Figueroa as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Cypress Creek is undefeated when Figueroa allowsone or fewer hits, but 4-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Cypress Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Barreto, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Rodery Polanco also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Tohopekaliga came up short against Master's Academy on Wednesday and fell 10-5.

Tohopekaliga now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Cypress Creek, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Cypress Creek beat Tohopekaliga 3-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Will Cypress Creek repeat their success, or does Tohopekaliga has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
