Volleyball Recap: Carvers Bay Takes a Loss

If Carvers Bay was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Green Sea Floyds two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Johnsonville Flashes by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flashes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Carvers Bay actually scored more points across those five sets (108-107), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Carvers Bay's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Johnsonville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Carvers Bay will welcome Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johnsonville, they will take on Hannah-Pamplico at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
