Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Cougars vs. Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs

The Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Summerfield Waldorf will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy was beaten by Pacific Union College Prep 82-48.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summerfield Waldorf). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Trinity Prep 74-40. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Summerfield Waldorf's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-7.

Things could have been worse for Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-48 loss to Summerfield Waldorf in their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
