Preview: Arrowhead Warhawks vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners
Arrowhead has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Arrowhead posted their biggest win since December 12, 2023 on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 61-16 win over Mukwonago. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 61-16.
Arrowhead's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natlie Kussow, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kussow is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Libby Gilmore, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. Everything went their way against Marist as Nazareth Academy made off with a 56-30 win. That's two games straight that Nazareth Academy has won by exactly 26 points.
Arrowhead's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Nazareth Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
