Football Recap: Collinsville Kahoks vs. Belleville East Lancers
Collinsville couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 30-15 bruising from the Belleville East Lancers on Friday. The Kahoks haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Chase Reynolds rushed for 99 yards.
Loyal Patterson was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards.
Jaedon Beamon had an outrageously good game for Belleville East as he rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. James Johnson Jr did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will square off against Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belleville East, they will take on Pekin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
